A Brooklyn Nets Pep Rally

Nets players Deron Williams and Joe Johnson come to Borough Hall

Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz hosted a pep rally on Friday at Borough Hall Plaza to welcome Brooklyn’s back court, Deron Williams and Joe Johnson, while also give fans an opportunity to visit The "Experience," the Brooklyn Nets/Barclays Center interactive mobile unit.

Other attendees included Brooklyn Nets General Manager Billy King, Brooklyn Nets Head Coach Avery Johnson, Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center CEO Brett Yormark, Brooklyn Nets Public Address Announcer David Diamante, and the Brooklynettes, the Brooklyn Nets dance team.

“I’m thrilled that here in Brooklyn—aka Kings County—we’ve got the Kings of the NBA: All-Stars Deron Williams and Joe Johnson,” said Markowitz. “And with Brooklyn’s back court leading the way, those Manhattan Knicks don’t stand a chance!”

Chris Rock said it best, African Americans are shown more 'love' for doing a 'bid' and getting outRead More of prison than to graduate school with a degree. When this 'hood mentality' starts to change, then you will see more than a trickle of AA passing advanced math courses.
