5 Things You Should Know This Week

1. Monday, May 6, at 6:30 p.m. is the 3rd Annual Family Dynamics Art Auction & Cocktail Party, at White Space Chelsea, 530 W. 25th Street, (See map).  

2. Remember the Retail Flash Mob event at Brooklyn Baby Cakes earlier this year? Well, there’s another taking place on Wednesday, May 8, 6:00 p.m., at Busy Bee Bagel, located at 1081 Fulton Street  (See map). Come out and enjoy and see why this new sensation is sweeping Bed-Stuy!  

3. They’re at it AGAIN the alumni of Boys and Girls High School will attempt one more time to end the students’ winning streak at the 4th Annual Alumni vs. Student Basketball Game! This time (drumroll…) Coach Lovelace will be coaching the Alumni Team! The event will take place on Thursday, May 9, at Boys and Girls High School (See map). Doors open at 5:30 pm. Game begins at 6:00 pm $5 Tickets Available at Door. $3 for Current BGHS Students.   

4. Alternate side of the street parking regulations will be suspended this Thursday, May 9, for Solemnity of the Ascension.  

5. Sunday is Mother’s Day. If you haven’t purchased (and mailed) your Mother’s Day card and/or gift, you have today and tomorrow to do so, if you want it to arrive on time!
