5 Things You Should Know This Week

Changes to the A Train, Wealth-Building Tuesdays, and free tax help for seniors

1. Please note the following changes this week to the A train: Beginning Monday March 12, through Friday March 16, from 10:00pm to 5:00am, no trains at A, C, and E stations between 59 St-Columbus Circle and Jay St-MetroTech
Trains operate as follows:
A trains run via the D and F between 59 St-Columbus Circle and Jay St-MetroTech:
1. Via the D between 59 St-Columbus Circle and 47-50 Sts.
2. Via the F between 47-50 Sts and Jay St-MetroTech.
And C Service to Manhattan runs until 9:30 PM. Brooklyn-bound C service runs until 10 PM.

2. Wealth Building Tuesdays starts March 13. Mark your calendar for these dates: March 13, 20, and 27 to hear a Financial Adviser explain how to achieve financial wealth through savings, investment, developing credit, and managing debt.  You will have an opportunity to view your credit report, ask questions as well as meet with a Financial Adviser after this workshops series at Restoration Plaza, 1368 Fulton Street, to assess your personal finances and create a plan for your financial future. 3. Community Board 3 and the Economic Development Committee present “Follow the Money: Leveraging Public Resources to Grow Your Business &  Have Record Sales,” an MWBE Certification  and 2012 Growth Strategies Workshop Tuesday, March 13, 2012, 10:00 am , 1368 Fulton St.

4. Seniors, need help figuring out your taxes? There will be a free AARP Tax Prep Assistance Clinic on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, 9:00 am at the , 496 Franklin Ave.

5. The Myrtle Avenue Revitalization Project, LDC (MARP) has released a comprehensive Community Food Assessment (CFA), a report researched and created in collaboration with local residents and food advocates. MARP will host a CFA release celebration on Thursday, March 15, 5:30-7:30PM at Child Development Support Services, 352 Classon Ave Brooklyn, 11238 (btwn Lafayette and Clifton Place)
