5 Things You Should Know This Week

NYC kids on spring break, a celebrity comedy show in Bed-Stuy and some local fun for fans of Game of Thrones

 

1. NYC Public Schools are on Spring Break, beginning March 22 – March 31. So kids will be out of school this entire week…  and on the subways… and in the stores…  yes, they will be around… lolol

2. Alternate side of the street parking also will be suspended most of this week:

3. On Tuesday, March 26, Game of Thrones fans can show off their knowledge at Lola BKLYN, where they're holding a Trivia Special - Game of Thrones., 387 Myrtle Ave.,  8:30 p.m. The event is free!

4. This Wednesday, March 27, come to Simplicity bar to check out a stellar lineup of comedians in its special presentation: “Simply Funny.” The event is hosted by Neil Charles from Adult Swim and features:

  • Josh Homer of Comedy Central
  • Mike Brown from Rooftop Comedy
  • Chris Lamberth from Rooftop Comedy
  • Laura Pragley from Comedy Central
  • Dave Kinney from Comic Con
  • Jeffrey Joseph from In Living Color

5. All this week, don’t forget to sign up for the Bed-Stuy Bounty Food Share. Bed-Stuy Bounty is excited to work with Glebocki Farms again this year, a USDA GAP Food Safety Certified (Good Agricultural Practices). John Glebocki, the farm’s owner, is a fifth generation farmer in the Black Dirt Region of Orange County, NY. They grow a wide variety of vegetables and we are looking forward to supporting a farmer with who's had a longstanding relationship with Bed-Stuy, as well as Bushwick, Ft.
