5 Things You Should Know This Week

Holiday parking schedule, a new restaurant opening on Lewis Ave, and planned service changes this week to the A, L and M lines

"5 Things You Should Know" will jump-start you into a productive week. Be the first to know about parking changes, important meetings, free events and the hottest get-togethers in and around Bed-Stuy:

1. Alternate side parking will be in effect every day this week except Christmas and the day after Christmas. Alternate side parking regulations will be suspended on Sunday, December 25, 2011, and on Monday, December 26, 2011.

2. Not only has Trump bowed out of his own auto-call debate scheduled for December 27, but the next scheduled GOP debate slated for tonight, December 19, in Johnston, IA, also has been canceled.

Too tired for the city?  Impossible to get a ride back to Brooklyn after the ball drops?  Then why leave?  Brooklyn Beso is Bedstuy's latest addition to the area's growing restaurant scene is opening for business this week and wants to help you bring in the new year.  Beso is a Nuevo Latino themed restaurant and bar located at 370 Lewis, nearby neighborhood favorites like Peaches and Saraghina. 1. Between 207 St and 168 St, every 30 minutes.
2. Between 168 St and Lefferts Blvd/Far Rockaway.
• To continue your trip, transfer at 168 St.

5. The J and M Lines—Weekday Planned Service Changes:

From 10:00a to 3:00pm, Wed to Fri, Dec 21 – 23, Metropolitan Av-bound M trains run express from Marcy Av to Myrtle Av
