Founders of the new plant-based beauty line Iwilla Remedy, Selima Harleston Lust and Tami Lust are proud and excited to announce their 1st place win in the Brooklyn Public Library’s PowerUP! Business Plan Competition. This Brooklyn competition gives local entrepreneurs the opportunity to turn their business idea into a reality. The winner receives $15,000 in start-up capital to ignite their business and the ladies of Iwilla Remedy are honored to receive this year’s first place price.

Tami and Selima, herbalists, wives and business partners, officially opened for business in their one bedroom apartment in 2012. Today, through a partnership with Brooklyn Community Services, a workshop supporting and employing adults with special needs, Iwilla Remedy independently manufactures packages and distributes its line.
