Report: Bed-Stuy Getting Planet Fitness
Incoming chain will be largest gym in the area, Real Estate Weekly says.
Planet Fitness has just inked the lease on a huge space in Bed-Stuy, according to a report in Real Estate Weekly.
The gym and personal training chain is planning to open a 22,500 square foot gym, by far the largest space anywhere in the area, in January 2015.
The lease is for retail space at 1245 Fulton Street, between Bedford and Nostrand avenues, near Clinton Hill, Real Estate Weekly reported.
The report indicated that the renovations to the current space — including adding a second floor — are expected to take a little less than one year.
