Dough Up for Time Out's 'Best Bakery' Award

The Bed-Stuy bakery, known for their hibiscus doughnuts, is up for a "Best New Bakery" award in Time Out's food competition.

Franklin Avenue’s , known for their inventive sweets, like blood orange and toasted coconut doughnuts, is up for the title of “Best New Bakery” in Time Out Magazine’s Food and Drink Awards.

Dough opened in November 2010, and has been whipping up unique flavor combinations, , ever since. The bakery made some headlines in July when they teamed up with next door and created an $11 foie gras doughnut.

Dough is up against Bien Cuit in Boerum Hill, Dominique Ansel Bakery in SoHo, and Zucker Bakery in East Village. Dessert fans can vote for their favorite here.
