David's Brisket House Re-Opens With New Interior
The Nostrand Avenue sandwich staple has re-opened, with an expanded kitchen and new dining area.
The three-month closure of on Nostrand Avenue saddened many, but the Village Voice happily reports that the 40-year old restaurant has re-opened with a brand new interior.
According to the Voice, the kitchen is now in the back, and has larger covered steam tables and more slicing stations. The front area has been converted into a dining room with about eight tables, as well as a new stamped-tin ceiling, the blog says.
But, worry not, the Voice reports that David’s has not upped their prices, and sandwiches still start at $6.

Last year, Anthony Mackie, star of movies like The Hurt Locker and The Adjustment Bureau (as well as owner of Nostrand Avenue’s NoBar) told Grubstreet that David’s sandwiches had “the best sandwich meat I’ve ever had.”
