On Monday, March 25, at 6:30 p.m., Ronald K. Brown's Evidence, A Dance Company will hold "The Torch Ball," its 9th annual dance celebration and fundraiser at The Plaza Hotel.
Brown, a world-renowned choreographer (and Bed-Stuy native), just recently completed the choreography for Gershwin’s masterpiece, Porgy and Bess, which was on Broadway in 2012.
Evidence will showcase a new piece entitled, “Torch,” which is a tribute to Beth Young, a company patron who recently died of breast cancer.
Actress Lynn Whitfield will host the event, and Spike and Tanya Lee this year will serve as the honorary chairs.
