WHY GO: "Where is the Love?" That's the Real Talk on this coming Friday night! There's a whole lot of hate going around in this world so we are going to follow the lead of Stevie Wonder and sing about love!  The UNDERGROUND is a new movement in faith started by the Concord Baptist Church -- we're funky and casual, friendly and always ready to get down so that we can get up in power!  Gather up some friends and come and sing along with us!

WHEN/WHERE: June 15 – June 29, Fulton Park between Stuyvesant and Lewis Avenue, Bklyn

WHY GO: The Fulton Art Fair 2013 is Celebrating its 55th Anniversary. Please come out and support the Artists and see the beauty that blossoms in Bedford Stuyvesant! It is the oldest Fair in New York City. The Fair helped to jump start the movement of a gallery in the park and art institutions like the Art and Culture Center, The Magnolia Tree and MOCADA to name a few.

WHAT: Daddy-Children’s Day, III

WHEN/WHERE: Saturday, June 22, 12:00 noon – 4:00 p.m., Von King Park, 670 Lafayette Avenue, between Marcy and Tompkins avenues, Bklyn

WHY GO: It’s a special day for daddies to show how much their children mean to them. There will be carnival games, face painting, arts & crafts, sports, guest speakers, prizes, and fatherhood information

HOW MUCH: Free

 

WHAT: Bed-Stuy Stoops

WHEN/WHERE: Sunday, June 23, 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., beginning at the Stuyvesant Mansion, 375 Stuyvesant Avenue, Bklyn

WHY GO: Bed-Stuy Stoops is a day for various Bed-Stuy homeowners to collaborate with local artists – 15 total – to present mini-performances and art showcases on their stoops, yards or sidewalks. Dance, music and theatre performances will continue throughout the duration of the event. Visual artists will showcase their art as well as create live art and will be available in between performances so they can discuss their work, get to know the people of the community, and inspire community members to get to know each other.

WHAT: Rolling up the Gates

WHEN/WHERE: Saturday, June 22, 8:30 a.m., PRATT AREA COMMUNITY COUNCIL, 896-900 Fulton Street, 2nd fl

WHY GO: If you are a start-up or an existing business wanting to 
expand and are looking for a home in Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, or Bedford 
Stuyvesant, come join Pratt Area Community Council for another “Rolling Up the Gates” Storefront Stroll event.
