WHY GO: From the repurposing of materials mined from popular culture; to the employment of visual catalysts that act as consciousness shifting perspectives; to those art based explorations of the mysteries that inform the sacred feminine; Jasmine Murrell and Linda Hiwot's art practices effectively investigate the conceptual metaphors that underpin the installations, sculptures, paintings, and collages that comprise the exhibition: Essentially Earth. In presenting the works of Hiwot and Murrell, we bring a lens to bear on the extraordinary works of these two visual artists.
