Want to help your teen daughter develop a high self-esteem? Let her attend the "Mirror Mirror" workshop offered by children's book author and CEO of Powerhouse Media Group, Feona Sharhran Huff, on Sunday, January 30, 2011, from 3 pm to 6 pm. The workshop will take place at True South Books, 492 Nostrand Avenue, Brooklyn, NY.
The workshop - which was inspired by Feona's book Mirror Mirror: An Empowerment Book for Black Girls - will include skits, vision boards, journaling and group discussion. A book signing will follow.
BONUS: DJ Chocolatte, a female deejay on the rise and featured in the empowerment book, will come through to offer some words of encouragement. Plus, attendees get the opportunity to take picture's with Mirror Mirror "cover girl" Clara Cassi Sharhran Huff (affectionately known as Lady Clara). Lady Clara turns 11 on the day of the workshop. There will be cake and ice cream!
