Barclays Center to Host Food Truck Extravaganza

Three Saturdays this summer are about to get both delicious and mobile.

Whether you see it as a basketball arena, a concert venue, a hideous eyesore or some fourth thing not listed here, it's apparent that the Barclays Center is a great place to stuff your face.

This weekend — and twice more this summer — Brooklyn's home court is going to take things to the next level.

Food trucks and outdoor seating are coming to the Barclays Center entrance plaza on three Saturdays: June 1, July 6 and September 7, according to the New York Post.

I imagine they'll be skipping August because the food trucks are summering in the Hamptons or Connecticut or something. You wouldn't deprive Alec Baldwin of the chance to eat homemade mesquite hummus out of a van in East Quogue, would you?

Regardless, it's going to be a great opportunity to stand in line for gourmet tacos under the Oculus.

The event will start each Saturday at 11 a.m. and run until 5 p.m. Participating trucks include:

  • Treats Truck
  • Kimchi Taco Truck
  • Frites’N’Meats
  • Taim Mobile
  • Coolhaus Ice Cream Sandwiches
And probably more!
