What Should Fill This Empty Space?

Would a restaurant fill the void? Another coffee bean shop? A clothing store?

“If only I had some extra money, I’d buy that building and turn it into a bookstore.”

You see it all the time: An abandoned commercial property that immediately, you envision can be transformed into a successful business venture.

On 26 Kosciuszko Street between Bedford and Nostrand Avenues, there is a strip of old garages that used to serve as a row of auto body repair shops.

They have since been closed. What remains are large brick and aluminum structures ripe for renovation to be turned into something funky, fresh and new.

So, what do you think should fill the void left by this property? What kind of establishment would add to this area of Kosciuszko Street, where modern, new apartment buildings are opening every year?

Take our poll, and tell us in the comments.

Chris Rock said it best, African Americans are shown more 'love' for doing a 'bid' and getting outRead More of prison than to graduate school with a degree. When this 'hood mentality' starts to change, then you will see more than a trickle of AA passing advanced math courses.
