Volunteers Needed for 72-hour MLK Renovation Project

500 Men Making a Difference will hold its 3rd Annual 72-hour renovation project to help re-build a community organization ravaged by Hurricane Sandy

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, 500 Men Making a Difference will hold its 3rd Annual 72-hour renovation project this weekend, and they are inviting the community to come on board.

Come out between Friday, January 18 - Monday, January 21, and help with the removal of debris, painting, electrical instalation, flooring, plumbing and carpentry work at the Amethyst Women's Project Inc., a not-for-profit that serves woman and children with HIV/AIDS, substance abuse and domestic violence issues.

The Amythyst Women's Project's main office, located at 1904 Surf Ave., was ravaged by Hurricane Sandy, and 500 Men will spend three straight days working in shifts to get the center back on track.
