On Thursday, June 21, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., musicians of all ages and genres across Bed-Stuy stepped out in front of churches, community gardens, sidewalks, playgrounds, storefronts -- anywhere a small audience could stand an watch -- to perform as a part of a citywide national music extravaganza.
The annual event known as "Make Music New York" was a way for the community to experience the creative talents of local musicians from all around the neighborhood.
In Bedford-Stuyvesant, more than 50 bands played across 13 outdoor public spaces, providing the soundtrack for what was a very hot Brooklyn summer day.
Did you get a chance to catch any bands yesterday? Tell us in the comments where and, and what did you think?
