Having an Attitude of Gratitude

A few suggestions on how you can cultivate a healthy attitude of gratitude

Have you heard of or used the popular phrase, “Have attitude of gratitude?"

It is somewhat popular during the Thanksgiving holiday. But lately, I am hearing it more during the month of October.

This week in particular, I feel that we are hearing it more because of the extra push for breast cancer awareness, lupus awareness, bullying awareness and of course health and exercise awareness.

We are being prompted to be aware of our own and our loved ones' physical and emotional health. Having an attitude of gratitude changes trajectory of your personal thought life because it allows you to see the good in others and things.

When someone does something nice for you and you express instant gratitude, don’t let it end there. Let that be a constant attitude with that person – not saying that you have to send flowers, cards and candy every week, but you let your attitude show your gratitude.

Here are a few suggestions on how you can cultivate a healthy ‘attitude of gratitude.

  1. Journal: write about the good things that have happened and the good things that others are doing or have done for you. Write about how that made or makes you feel.
  2. Note/Card: Send a card or a note of appreciation to the people who have helped you.
  3. Visit: If you don’t feel like sending a note card, pay that person a visit or meet-up.
  4. List: Create a list of about 50 things that you are grateful for and then look around to see how the law of attraction is working in your favor.

Gratitude is a lifestyle that we should do our best to implement in our lives.
With that said, I am sincerely grateful to be a part of the Bed-Stuy Patch team and grateful to all who watch and share the weekly WOW post. :) Read more: http://wp.me/p1j4PK-fu
