Gobble Up the Miles With the Bed-Stuy Turkey Trot

While everyone else is basting and brining, you can be burning calories in advance.

Have you ever sat down at the Thanksgiving table and thought to yourself: "this would taste way better if I had just run a mile-and-a-half?"

Me neither.

But some folks do, apparently, and they're organizing a Bed-Stuy turkey trot on Thanksgiving Day. It's a 1.5 mile run around a Bed-Stuy park with prizes for the top finishers and a guarantee that you'll work up a healthy appetite and earn that post-meal nap.

The event will take place at 9 a.m. in Herbert Von King Park on Lafayette Avenue, with registration check-in beginning at 7:30 a.m.

You can also pre-register by e-mailing BedStuyBikes@gmail.com

The event is sponsored by the Brooklyn Alliance for Safer Streets.
