Starting this Thursday night, Vodou Bar will be getting some international flavor.
DJ Hard Hittin Harry will be bringing his blend of dancehall reggae, afrobeat and hip-hop to Vodou Bar as part of his new bi-weekly Global Jam Session from 6:00-9:00 pm on Thursdays, marking an additional day to the already established Tuesday night show. The show can also be viewed live from the comfort of your own home.
"Anything can happen in a lounge environment, so there's definitely more pressure here than when I was just hosting from home," said DJ Harry.

DJ Harry began webcasting live two years ago on Axium Studios every Tuesday afternoon, where he met and became mentored by DJ Basil.
"He said that people need to hear me around the globe, which was how the concept for the set name came about," said Harry.

DJ Harry made the switch to Ustream last year, under the direction of FREDDIE FOXXX from KruptMobRadio. Global Jam Session will be simulcast on KruptMobRadio and webcast on UStream.
With the new Thursday slot, Harry said he is hoping to bring back the original concept of Global Jam Session.
Our Tuesday shows were originally house music and reggae, and Thursdays mostly hip-hop," said Harry. "The goal with Global Thursdays at Vodou Bar is to fuse global and international rhythms, as well as hip-hop."
The international flair and incorporation of Haitian music was what helped initially impress the owners of Vodou Bar, who are both Haitian themselves.
"All three of us are Haitian and they wanted to incorporate their culture into the bar somehow, so it was a perfect marriage," said Harry.
At the conclusion of the Global Jam Session 6:00-9:00pm live webcast, DJ Hard Hittin Harry will continue to spin live at Vodou Bar from 9:00pm until close.
