Drug Prevention Workshop To Be Held Tomorrow

Workshop at Macon Library is geared towards parents, relatives and caregivers looking to keep children drug-free

With prom and senior class trip season on the horizon, it's inevitable that drugs will be present.

To help combat this, Drug Free Bed-Stuy Coalition will be holding a drug prevention workshop at the Macon Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library (361 Lewis Ave., between Halsey St. and Macon St.; (718) 573-5606) tomorrow night from 6:00-7:30pm.

The workshop will be geared towards parents, caregivers and all those interested in helping keep youth in the community drug-free. Proactive prevention steps that will reduce substance abuse risks will be addressed during the evening, and attendees will receive empowerment methods to help influence the youth in their lives.
