Calling All Burgeoning Authors!!

Pitchapalooza is coming!

Got "American Idol" envy, but you can't hold a note? "So You Think You Can Dance," but you really can't? Well, here's one more chance to show your skills in front of a judge doing something that takes minimal skill: Pitch a great book idea.

Who doesn't have an amazing book idea inside of them. Well, on March 30th, at Greenlight Bookstore, you will get the chance to pitch your brilliant book idea in front of a panel of esteemed authors. It's like American Idol for books-- only without the Simon.

The "Book Doctors," aka, Arielle Eckstut and David Henry Sterry, authors of The Essential Guide to Getting Your Book Published, will be making a house call in Brooklyn and they want YOU to pitch your book at their acclaimed event, Pitchapalooza, which was recently featured in The New York Times

"We have just toured the country with our event Pitchapalooza, and we are now bringing it home to Brooklyn," said best-selling author David Henry Sterry. "We have discovered in our travels that an absolutely shocking number of people in America, and also in the five boroughs of New York, are burning with the desperate desire to become a published author."

At Pitchapalooza, writers get one minute to pitch their book ideas to an all-star panel of publishing experts. The winner of the Pitchapalooza receives an introduction to an appropriate agent or publisher for his/her book.
