District Leader Robert Cornegy revealed that Interfaith Hospital will remain open through the end of 2013, with an infusion of new cash. Interfaith has long been fending off closure as it tries to work its way back to profitability. 

U.S. Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-Bed-Stuy, again went after the Republican Party for their role in shutting down the U.S. government, a government stoppage which is now well into its second week. 

We asked you to tell us how you weathered Sandy last year, as we prepare for the one year anniversary of the epic storm.
