About 13 years (I started running cross country in 7th grade)

Why you are running:

I am not running in part of a charity organization; I am on the local Central Park Track Club (CPTC) team. I ran the Boston Marathon twice for the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge team, raising money for Cancer research. While this charity doesn't run the NYC Marathon, they will always be in my thoughts.

What Inspires You:

Resilience, overcoming illness, creativity, family and love. Working hard and overcoming challenges in creative ways can get you through incredible challenges, both mental and physical.

Training Routine:

I run about 40-50 miles a week, which includes one track workout, one tempo run and one long run a week. You can usually find me between 6:00am - 8:00am in Prospect Park.

Other Tidbit:

Last summer, I quit my day job and flew to East Africa. Two months later I had climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and adventured through Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya and Zanzibar. I also love smoothies and drawing with fine-tipped pens.
