Announcement: Reverend Dyson to be Honored
The pastor of Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church will be honored on Sunday
The Pratt Area Community Council, Councilmember Letitia James, New York State Senator Velmanette Montgomery and New York State Assemblymember Hakeem Jeffries invite you to a community tribute in honor of Reverend David Dyson.
On the eve of his retirement, Rev. David Dyson, pastor of Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church (LAPC), will be honored for his work promoting human rights in Ft. Greene and around the world.
Rev. Dyson has had a storied career. In addition to his 18 years of service at LAPC, Rev. Dyson has worked for several years as a boycott coordinator for the United Farm Workers, and as a driver and bodyguard for Cesar Chavez.
