Halsey Fresh Food Box is Back!

The Fresh Food Box Program brought to you by GrowNYC is back for another successful season and will be setting up shop in its same location, 462 Halsey Community Garden!

If you don't remember, the Fresh Food Box Program is a food access initiative that allows underserved communities to purchase fresh, healthy, locally-grown produce in pre-packed boxes containing the best of what’s seasonally available on regional farms. Fresh Food Box customers can take advantage of the cost benefits of buying in a group, and enjoy the quality and variety of a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) share with the flexibility to buy by the week rather than by the season.

The first food box pick-up date for the 462 Halsey location will be Saturday July 13th and GrowNYC will be there Saturday June 29th from 10am-2pm conducting sign-ups for the July 13th distribution day. After that food box sign-ups and pick-ups with be every Saturday from 10am-2pm at 462 Halsey St. (at Lewis Ave.)

Food boxes are just $10! Cash, credit/debit, and EBT are all accepted.

We'll see you Saturday!
