The New York City's Housing Authority's Office of Resident Economic Empowerment and Sustainability has collaborated with the Brooklyn Navy Yard to connect NYCHA residents with local employment opportunities.
Some of the positions available include: maintenance worker, bread baker, porter, warehouse worker and property manager.
The REES staff will be holding two employment recruitment events for NYCHA Brooklyn residents, who are able to work in the Downtown area:
February 23, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Ingersoll Community Center, 177 Myrtle Avenue.
March 2, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Farragut Community Center, 228 York Street.
During these events, REES staff will share information about the jobs available, provide resume and interviewing tips, and determine if job-seekers meet the minimum eligibility requirements.
