Ex-Net to Bedford Academy Students: Don't Make My Mistakes
Jayson Williams, the one-time Nets star, has been embroiled in legal troubles for years and was finally released from Rikers Island this week.
Former Nets star Jayson Williams stopped by on Wednesday to tell students that he’s learned from his past mistakes, and urge them to not go down the same road he has, says the New York Post.
Williams was recently released from Rikers Island, where he served eight months for drunk driving in Manhattan, on top of an 18-month sentence at a New Jersey prison for the 2002 shooting of a limo driver, says the article.
He blames alcohol for his problems, but told Fox News that prison “polished me up like stone.”
