Bed-Stuy Rents Spiking

A new report shows that rents have risen over 6 percent from April to May.

Of Brooklyn’s 14 most popular neighborhoods, Bed-Stuy saw the largest increase in rents from April to May, rising 6.5 percent overall, says AM New York.

The report, by MNS Real Estate, found overall rents in Brooklyn up 10 percent since 2011, says the article.

But Bed-Stuy had one of the biggest jumps, with studios now averaging at $1,281, one-bedrooms at $1,680 and two-bedrooms rising to $2,170.
