Announcement: Ward to Deliver Special Message to AG

The next chapter in the Ward estate battle includes a visit to attorney general's office this Wednesday

The 82-year-old Bed-Stuy great grandmother embroiled in a property battle behind a predatory lending scam clearly is not giving up.

This Wednesday, Mary Ward, along with Organizing for Occupation (O4O) and Common Law, will gather at the Brooklyn office of NY State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman in a show of solidarity and support for the AG in taking a stance against predatory lendors.

Early last week, Schneiderman declared his office's commitment to pursue justice against predatory lenders and housing scams ravaging poor and middle-class communities, such as Bed-Stuy:

“Let me tell you directly: I am deeply committed to pursuing a full investigation into the misconduct that led to the collapse of America's housing market, and to seeking a resolution that gives homeowners meaningful relief," Schneiderman wrote.

Ms. Ward will address the crowd and  then deliver a colorfully painted mural and sign of her gratitude and encouragement to the AG directly.
